Problem Solving - The Key Skill One must emulate....

Problem Solving the underyling skill today

When I turn around my circumference and analyze why people get stuck in their own orbits. I tend to conclude that we probably do not understand “Problem Solving Skill” in matured way....

Problem Solving when implemented in effective way can transform our lives because it is becoming the underlying skill to all the other skills we apply.

In my opinion, Problem Solving requires us to hone below fundamentals

A. We must

If I analyze why most of us are entangled in our "very own orbits" and not contributing to our own... I see we often do not have "Problem Solving Skills".. True...

Quantify the Progress:

Excerpts from The Hindu News paper (dated 18th September 2011) Governament of Gujarat pubished an adversement in Hindu News Pape on 18th September 2011...

1. Gujarat, with just 5% of the country’s population and 6% of its geographical area, contributes to 10% of India’s GDP.
2. Sowing the seeds of a second green revolution, with nearly 10% annual agricultural growth over the past decade.
3. Quantum jump of 10.17% in literacy rate from 69.14% in 2001 to 79.31% in 2011.
4. Massive all in dropout rates from 20.93% in 2000-01 to a meagre 2.09% in 2010 among primary school students.
5. Uninterrupted 24 X7 power supplied to all 18.0665 villages of Gujarat under Jotigram Yojana.

12. Gujarat’s unique Grievance redressal system, SWAGAT online which provides direct access to Chief Minister, wins the prestigious 2010 UN award for enhancing Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in the Public Service Category.

Problem Solving - The Skill we must hone....

 

If we want - We can alone bring the change!!!

After I left my post graduation, it is the "contexts I assoicate with" educates me with great learning. Only thing is that like Radio, I should have the ability to set tuned to the required freequency. If I have this ability, I felt I am taking great learning from every context I associate with. Only thing is that I should have composure to stay composed and be with the "Present".

It is one of such occasions where my supervisor made me realize

Let us always beleive - If want, we can alone bring the change

In one of the business review meetings where I was debating multipe support functions like HR, Operations etc. are responsible for employee motivation because there are issues like Salary hikes which cannot be handled from Project Delivery managers alone. I was clear that I alone cannot bring the change. Interestingly, my supervisor positioned his debate from the stand point that we alone can bring the change if we want. My supervisor stressed the factor that We alone are the guardians of our people talent and product we contribute to. Thus we should take the responsibility to the last bit. Thus, he called for the approach

While going in collaborative mode, we need to take the front gear

Obviously, It took some time for me to digest this thought process. But true, this has tingled my thought orbit. I am sure this very own thought

If I want - I can alone bring the change

can be applied in every aspect of our life whereever we are responsible. Within a week, I started seeing great energy in me because I could able to resolve employees salary concerns by applying the front gear.

I am sure we can apply this thought process to other aspects of our life as well!!!..
